Scripture Text: John 6:1-6

[1] “After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.
[2] There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
[3] Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing

Preparing for the Journey--Four Feet from Victory

There are some lessons we can learn from the looking at the passage with an eye on the Church, there are some other lessons that can come in our lives as individual also.

Lesson I. There are Long Nights and Empty Nets in Both the Past and Future.

-Any path of life that we take always has the potential for long nights and empty nets. But the grand lesson in this is that it ought to create perseverance in us to stay at our task.

Lesson II. Long Nights and Empty Nets a Matter of the Heart

-The world has a backward system to monitor success. They look at full nets and loaded boats and short days. God never looks at success like that. The world looks at failure by noting empty nets but God ignores the empty nets and looks at the empty hearts.

Lesson III. The Same Men Succeed are those who have Failed.

-Most failures are not so deadly that they will disqualify us from the work of the Kingdom of God. The same men who had exhausted themselves fishing were the same men who the Lord was determined to use to fill the nets.

Lesson IV. You Will Succeed and Fail in the Same Place.

-God’s pattern is far different from ours. He is willing to put us in the place where we failed to make the biggest impact.

Lesson V. You Cannot See the Victory Until You Obey.

-Miracles have a tendency to work themselves in an atmosphere of obedience. While there is always an element of faith involved in every miracle, it has greatly to do with our willingness to be obedient to the callings of God.

Galatians 6:9 KJV “And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we will reap, if we faint not.”

Let’s go to A NEW DIMENSION!! ”
