Scripture Reading: 2 Timothy 3:1-5; 2 Timothy 4:1-5

Scripture Text: John 14:1-6

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

“I Will Come Again”

The Word of God teaches us that Jesus WILL come again! This should stir in us a righteous lifestyle in the present, and an excitement anticipating the future!

A. Tough Times!
The Bible clearly indicates that the last days before Christ returns will be a difficult period of time. There will be a marked sense of human arrogance and unhealthy pride People will be lovers of pleasures and self much more than lovers of God and what is good. The spirit of the age will be marked by self love.
B. Trusting or Troubled
Why does Jesus tell them to "let not your hearts be troubled?" Jesus had just told them that one of them was a traitor! That He was leaving them. And that Peter (their leader) was going to fail.

We must be men and women of prayer ALL the time, and not just when we get into trouble. God is our comforter when we face trouble in life and we must be quick to go to Him in prayer.
A. Training Time
Jesus tries to restore their perspective with all this bad news! No wonder the "Gospel" means "Good News"...the world needs some!

A. Traveling Together
To all those who have received Christ....He will receive them one day! We will continue our fellowship together if we are believers in Christ... even past this life, only those who refuse Him will not be with us. This truth alone should be enough to encourage our witnessing to others.

CONCLUSION: Jesus is coming again! If we follow Jesus we can't get lost because He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE! The more we anticipate His coming, the more passion we will have to live godly today. Are you ready for His coming, and if so, is it impacting how you live now?
