Scripture Text: James 5:13-18

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Is Anyone in Trouble?

In this world you will have Trouble, Worry, Frustration, Fear, Doubt etc. What kind of trouble? Jesus was talking to His disciples so He was talking about discipleship troubles. Trouble from following Him. Because the evil one exists in this world he will cause trouble in your life as you follow Jesus. Jesus is a peacemaker but the devil is a troublemaker. The devil wants to cause you trouble in order to make you fall away from Christ.

The solution to trouble and several other things that we encounter in life.
1- Are you in trouble? Pray
2- Are you happy? Sing
3- Are you sick? Call (make a phone call)

I. Are You in Trouble? PRAY!
We must be men and women of prayer ALL the time, and not just when we get into trouble. God is our comforter when we face trouble in life and we must be quick to go to Him in prayer.

II. Are You Happy? SING!
How can we NOT be happy, knowing that the Lord is in control of all the universe and even our own lives and especially, as we yield to Him? If you are happy in the Lord and you should be, then sing praise to Him!

III. Are You Sick? CALL!
When you get sick, (not just physically) what do you do? Most of the time you donĎt want to see anyone. Itís comforting to know that someone cares and even more comforting when someone asks Godís blessing on you in your presence. Itís very calming and reassuring.

I'm thankful that we serve an awesome and mighty God! I am glad that He has everything in control even though it seems that everything around us is out of control! I readily admit that there are times that God seems a million miles away, but in reality, He is closer than we think. He is as close as the mention of His name! What ever our needs may be, He is always there to help bear our load. If we are tempted, He is able to deliver. If we are sick, He is able to heal. And whenever we need a miracle, God is still the miracle worker! Amen!
